Mechanical Designer

Overview

Seeking a highly motivated and qualified Mechanical Designer to join our Product Development team, specializing in trailer power and water purification systems. The designer will work with engineers and technicians to create design concepts, drawings, and models that support trailer power and water purification systems development. This Mechanical Designer will primarily support prototyping projects and contribute to production programs. This is a first shift, Monday-Friday position.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering and business development teams to create design concepts for trailer power and water purification systems.

Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD

Support prototype development and assist in transitioning designs to production.

Contribute to technical presentations and proposals for BD / Sales and IRAD efforts (when needed)

Ensure designs and manufacturable, reliable, and compliant with customer requirements.

Provide design input across the full product lifecycle, from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in design, drafting, or a related field (Engineering degree preferred)

Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD

Experience designing trailer power and water purification systems (or related electrical / mechanical products preferred)

Familiarity with production environments and prototype development.

Strong attention to detail and ability to translate engineering concepts into manufacturable designs.

Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Creative problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
