GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Direct Service Professional (DSP) Apprentice provides essential training and support to elderly individuals and those with disabilities. Support is delivered in various settings including homes, workplaces, and community environments. Key responsibilities include transportation, meal preparation, cleaning, and skill-building, employment supports activities to promote independence and quality of life.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Other :

• Minimum high school diploma; must be over the age of 18
• Valid Michigan driver's license, three (3) years of driving experience
• Demonstrate Flexibility, compassion, good communication and computer proficiency

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist participants with domestic tasks including cooking, cleaning, and recreational activities.

Provide on-the-job training and supports to assist individuals in completing assigned work tasks.
