Job Description : Roofing Apprenticeship

A Roofer performs many jobs :
Applying hot and cold built-up roofing
Applying various single-ply roofing systems
Installing shingle, tile and slate roofs
Diagnosing and repairing roofs leaks
Residential and commercial projects
Description
Our 4000 hour Roofing Apprenticeship Program allows students to complete their education while building hands-on experience at a reputable Peoria area roofing company thats been around for over 40 years. Our program follows the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. Upon completion of our 4000 hour apprenticeship, you will earn your Roofing Journeyman through the U.S. Department of Labor.
This program combines both on the job learning with evening classroom instruction. You will be supported throughout your journey. By pairing you with experienced professionals as well as collaborating with other apprentices, you will receive continuous support and mentorship to build you up throughout your apprenticeship.

Minimum Requirements
Possess a hunger to learn
Must be a high school or GED graduate
Understand basic math
Valid drivers license
Experience in using basic hand tools
Able to work in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold
Able to lift 75 lbs.
Required to attend weekly roofing classes after hours (unpaid)
Top candidates may also have one or more of the following :
Prior work experience in roofing or construction. Full-time, part-time, or high school shop classes
College degree in construction management
