Salary : 14.00 hourly

Job Overview :

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our organization as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs in various settings, such as residential homes, and group homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Duties :

  • Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Implement care plans and follow established protocols for individuals with specific medical conditions or disabilities
  • Support individuals in participating in social activities and community integration
  • Document observations and report any changes in behavior or health status to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals

Skills :

  • Ability to lift and perform heavy physical tasks as required
  • Experience or knowledge in providing care for individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive individuals to appointments or community outings
  • Familiarity with assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care settings
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively
  • Understanding of direct support systems and practices

    • Training and Certifications

  • CPR / First Aid Certification (Plus)
  • CPI / De-escalation Training (Plus)
