To reshape the industry, at TruckSmarter, our focus is first on truck drivers. Trucks move 71% of freight in America (~$800bn annually) & the trucking industry represents nearly 6% of the full-time jobs in the country. If you look around you, every item has sat on a truck at one point on its journey to you. However, despite the industry being one of the greatest levers of innovation throughout history, it is still deeply fragmented & structurally misaligned. Our mission is to fix that—and we need your help.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced mobile engineer to help us transform TruckSmarter’s new vision into a reality for all the freight industry. In this role, you’ll :

Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications for iOS and / or Android platforms using React Native.

Provide guidance on mobile app best practices, coding standards, and new technologies.

Review code and offer constructive feedback to peers to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Work closely with product managers, UX / UI designers, and backend engineers to align on requirements and deliver solutions.

Design frontend deployment pipelines balancing velocity and reliability to help frontend engineers build excellent product experiences for our users.

Make crucial architectural decisions that will impact feature development for years to come.

What Excites Us

5+ years of experience building frontend applications that are used by a significant number of users.

Proficiency with technologies such as React Native / Flutter, React, and Next.js.

Experience with mobile design patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVM, VIPER), modern architecture, and best practices.

Prior experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and the capability to drive cross-functional requirements with business, product, operations and engineering teams.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
