Overview
The City of Gresham is seeking qualified candidates to fill a current vacancy in the Transportation Division of Environmental Services as a Concrete Maintenance Worker & Road Maintenance Worker (Public Utility Worker 2). This position will involve operating a variety of light and heavy equipment and tools to maintain the City's transportation infrastructure.
This job posting will be used to fill a current vacancy and may be used to fill future full-time or limited-duration positions that occur within the six months following the job announcement closing date.

Position Description
What you will get to do :
Install, maintain, seal and repair paved streets, unimproved roads, shoulders, sidewalks, ADA ramps and bridges
Fabricate, install and assure proper placement of street signs, barricades, traffic control devices, and pavement markings
Operate light-duty trucks to 10 yard commercial dump trucks with plows, sanders, and de-icers.
Collect and maintain data for asset management, winter operations, right-of-way, and other programs

Work schedule / environment :
The typical work schedule will be four 10-hour days per week either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday.
Work is predominantly performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and involves manual labor. This position will require being on-call on occasion to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Refer to the for additional details.
