Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for night shifts requiring Epic proficiency and a compact or SC RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital with 75 staffed bedsNight shifts, 3x12 hours (7p-7a) including weekends and holidays as neededNo on-call requirementsFloat required between similar units at Midlands DT and NE campuses as neededUses Epic EMR; experience with Epic requiredRoyal blue scrubs required in the ERFirst-time travelers accepted with required ER experienceAll time-off requests must be included at time of application; approval based on facility needsCandidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate; locals accepted at local ratePrevious staff (including PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of one year before returning as a travelerHoliday shift coverage required as neededFree parking provided with a pass and access to DT and NE parking lotsAll employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)Requirements
Active SC or compact RN license in hand by start dateMinimum 2 years of ER nursing experience requiredCurrent AHA certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSSEpic charting experience requiredSSN and Driver’s License required for considerationBenefits
