Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for night shifts requiring Epic proficiency and a compact or SC RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital with 75 staffed beds

Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7p-7a) including weekends and holidays as needed

No on-call requirements

Float required between similar units at Midlands DT and NE campuses as needed

Uses Epic EMR; experience with Epic required

Royal blue scrubs required in the ER

First-time travelers accepted with required ER experience

All time-off requests must be included at time of application; approval based on facility needs

Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate; locals accepted at local rate

Previous staff (including PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler

Holiday shift coverage required as needed

Free parking provided with a pass and access to DT and NE parking lots

All employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)

Requirements

Active SC or compact RN license in hand by start date

Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required

Current AHA certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Epic charting experience required

SSN and Driver’s License required for consideration
