A company is looking for a SMPE Job Description / Mainframe System Programmer.

Key Responsibilities

Perform installation, upgrade, and maintenance of z / OS and related IBM / BMC / ISV products

Manage system initialization and tuning, ensuring optimal performance

Conduct disaster recovery exercises and maintain security protocols

Required Qualifications

Experience with installation, upgrade, and maintenance of z / OS and IBM / BMC products

Sound knowledge of SMPE and RACF security-related products

Proficiency in SYSPLEX, JES, PARMLIB, USS, and Coupling Facility

Familiarity with HCD and working with IODF's

Knowledge of programming languages such as PL1, COBOL, Assembler, REXX, Java, and Python for z / OS
