Job Title : Network Engineer

Work Model : 6 month contract to hire

Work Model : Hybrid - Fort Worth

My Notes : We are looking to backfill a Network Engineer on our team. The specific tools needed for this Network Engineer have become more flexible, but experience / tenure in enterprise environments (2+ years) will be key. This could include any enterprise tools such as Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Pal Alto, etc. Additionally, this person will need experience engineering enterprise LANs / WANs and firewalls; the tool suite can still be flexible here, too.

The day-to-day work will involve engineering / deploying new networking infrastructure, securing firewalls, and designing large wireless infrastructure. This team will also be involved in new infrastructure engineering initiatives that are business-critical for the company to scale. The Network Admin team will take on a majority of support tickets, but this person will step in for escalated tickets and mentor younger network team members.

Additionally, they will need to have strong communication skills in case they need to work with network carriers or interface with Managers who are having network issues. Any experience in Project Management or an Agile environment will be a plus as the team runs sprints and utilizes Jira for tracking.

Top Skills :

• 2+ years of Enterprise Networking Experience (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Wireless Infrastructure & Network Design
• Strong Firewall experience with Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, or Fortinet
