Tesla's Energy & Charging Services organization operates and maintains deployed assets including North American residential & commercial solar, global behind-the-meter & front-of-meter storage, and global electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The mission of the organization is to maximize fleet health and delight our customers while minimizing the cost of maintaining the fleet.

The Solar Asset Manager is responsible for the oversight of commercial and operational deliverables to Tesla's Military Housing portfolios of 100+ MW of photovoltaic systems. This role serves as the primary liaison for business customers of Tesla-owned Solar products, overseeing the financial and operational performance of the energy assets to ensure they achieve their objectives and deliver value to both clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities include continuously evaluating and optimizing system operations, system performance, and maximizing site-level profitability.

What You'll Do

• Maximize operational performance and gross profit for solar systems by collaborating with onsite operations teams to ensure safe, efficient maintenance and addressing underperformance through proactive remediation
• Manage legal, contractual, regulatory, and operational compliance, including evaluating performance guarantees in Tesla's portfolio, and resolving issues to align with Power Purchase Agreements, O&M Agreements, and Interconnection Agreements
• Oversee stakeholder relationships (internal / external), such as with end customers, field service, finance, and other parties, while generating reports / presentations / graphs to communicate performance, status, and problem histories
• Review project performance reports per contractual obligations, drive closure of open inquiries, and identify root causes of underperformance to coordinate remediation with field service teams
• Negotiate service and renewal contracts to optimize terms, ensuring alignment with fleet health, fiscal priorities, and risk mitigation strategies
• Monitor and influence maintenance / operations of assets, leveraging fleet health data and organizational goals to balance revenue generation with compliance and customer relationships
• Coordinate and develop cross-functional strategies to enhance asset revenue, reduce risk, and minimize market exposure, incorporating insights from performance evaluations and stakeholder feedback

What You'll Bring

Experience with financial metrics and analysis, along with strong understanding of project finance, legal contracts, accounting, and contract / warranty negotiations

Expected Compensation $88,000 - $198,000 / annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
