General Laborer - Concrete And Masonry Construction

Join our team as a General Laborer where you will engage in various tasks related to concrete and masonry construction projects. This role involves manual labor, preparing surfaces, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities :

• Perform manual labor in concrete and masonry construction projects.
• Prepare surfaces for concrete placement.
• Shovel concrete into designated construction areas.
• Engage in a variety of tasks not limited to concrete-related activities.
• Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment.
• Ensure secure job site conditions daily to eliminate hazards.
• Handle and store materials appropriately.
• Load and unload trucks, haul, and hoist materials.
• Follow proper safety and incident reporting procedures.

Work Environment :

This position requires working both indoors and outdoors, performing tasks in various weather conditions. You must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and navigating uneven terrain. Physical requirements include lifting up to 75 lbs and assuming squatting or kneeling positions. Safety is paramount; thus, steel toes, a hard hat, and safety glasses are mandatory at all times. You will work across different departments, gaining diverse skills and experience.

This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, KS.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $21.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
