American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with 2+ years' experience and ARDMS certification for a dynamic role performing a variety of diagnostic sonography procedures.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in a healthcare facility with inpatient, emergency department, and outpatient settingsPerforms invasive and non-invasive ultrasound procedures including biopsies, routine OB / GYN, vascular venous and arterial studies, abdominal, small parts, intra-cavity, and color Doppler imagingWork schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM, with every other weekend requiredHoliday coverage and weekday / weekend call as scheduledResponsible for producing quality diagnostic images by selecting appropriate technical factors and equipment settingsObtains and reviews patient history, verifies orders, and ensures accurate documentationOperates and maintains sonographic equipment, manages patient schedules, and upholds equipment and work area standardsPerforms appropriate sterilization techniques and maintains documentation logsAdheres to The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and protocolsMust maintain high standards of medical ethics and pursue ongoing professional developmentWorks independently to communicate findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teamNo local candidates accepted; candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facilityNo more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years' experience in general ultrasound and vascular sonographyActive ARDMS certification requiredBLS (AHA) certification requiredExperience in abdominal and OB sonography requiredStrong critical thinking, interpersonal, and patient communication skills necessaryAbility to multitask in a complex environment with changing prioritiesLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
