Job Summary and Qualifications
As the Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery, you will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of the department while aligning with our hospital's mission and vision. Key responsibilities include :
Overseeing all departmental functions to support hospital goals.Implementing cost-effective systems while monitoring business trends and customer needs.Fostering effective relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.Allocating fiscal and human resources according to guidelines.Developing care plans based on RN assessments.Maintaining staff nurse competencies to address staffing challenges.Qualifications Needed :
Graduate of an accredited nursing school; advanced degree preferred.Five years of management experience in healthcare, including supervision, payroll, budgeting, and physician relations.Required Labor and Delivery experience.Proficient in clinical practices related to L&D.Licensure / Certification :
Current RN license in Texas or a compact license.BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.NRP certification required within three months of hire.Must complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course within one year of hire.Medical City Dallas is recognized for its advanced medical services and patient care excellence.
