Emergency Medical Helicopter Pilot - HAA

This is a recruitment for multiple Visual Flight Rules (VFR) positions. By applying, we'll consider your application for the open location of your choice. Please note that this is not a Float Pilot role.

Starting Salary Range: $87,019 - $95,720

Geographic modifier of up to 30%, based on location

Sign-on Bonus: $15,000
Retention Bonus: $40,000 after 3 years

On-Duty Housing available at all locations

Schedule: 7/7 at most locations

JOB SUMMARY

The role involves ensuring all company aircraft operations are compliant with Federal Aviation Regulations, the Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all relevant state and local regulations.

• Operate the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, focusing on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual.
• Regularly monitor weather conditions and forecast changes.
• Conduct thorough preflight inspections prior to each shift and/or accepting flights, documenting any discrepancies in the engineering log and notifying maintenance for corrective action.
• Report to shifts well-rested and prepared, while staying updated on weather and forecast changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

2000 hours total flight time
1500 hours helicopter time
1000 hours as pilot in command of a helicopter
500 hours turbine time
100 hours night pilotage unaided, or 50 hours unaided with an additional 100 hours aided
Previous experience in HAA or equivalent is preferred.

Education and Credentials:

Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
High school diploma or equivalent

Other:

230-pound weight limit when dressed in flight suit and boots
