Your Role
As a Student Success Coach and Mentor, you will be instrumental in guiding elementary, middle, and / or high school students toward academic achievement and personal growth. Your contributions will help students improve their attendance and foster positive behaviors in school. Throughout your service, you will track individual progress and collaborate with teachers to enhance classroom experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in academic coaching and personal development for students through one-on-one and small group interactions.
- Facilitate literacy and / or math skills development by tailoring learning activities to individual student needs, encouraging questions, and supporting assignment completion.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to promote a conducive learning environment.
- Enhance students' interpersonal skills using proven methods of practice, feedback, reflection, and repetition.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor and assess student progress, participating in data analysis for personalized support.
- Create a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere in partnership with teaching staff.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives that foster student and family engagement.
- Assist in organizing and leading extracurricular programs that promote academic enrichment, leadership, and community service.
- Help recognize and celebrate student achievements in academic and behavioral success.
