Job Description

In the Cell Kinetics lab, they test for leukemia and lymphoma. The samples received are typically blood, bone marrow, and tissue specimens. The lab is an "assembly line" format in which the samples move through as follows -

• Specimen Processing - pipetting, aliquotting, centrifuging and adding chemicals to the sample to isolate white blood cells.
• The white blood cells are stained with antibodies.
• The stained cells are run on flow cytometers.

These are 3 different benches that techs could be trained in on. The are over 10 other benches that techs can be trained in on after being brought on as a permanent employee.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must Have : Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a human biological science is required. These degrees include, but are not limited to : Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Animal Science, Marine Biology, Neuroscience, etc.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 / hr.
