Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and preparing estimates for commercial roofing projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in our bids. This position is crucial for our company's growth and success in the commercial roofing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for commercial roofing projects.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for estimating.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and overhead for various types of roofing systems including low slope, steep slope, coatings, tile, slate, metal, and shingle.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure thorough understanding of project requirements and to address any questions or concerns regarding estimates.
• Maintain and update an accurate database of material and labor costs to streamline future estimations.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with clients and subcontractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Roofing Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of roofing systems, including low slope, steep slope, coatings, tile, slate, metal, and shingle.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate costing and estimating.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively work with clients and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
