Our client is seeking a Healthcare Implementation Business Analyst to play a critical role in the successful delivery of a highly visible SaaS implementation initiative. This role will serve as the primary requirements authority and documentation owner, working in close partnership with Project Managers, Engineering, Product, and Client Stakeholders.
The Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring what is being built is correct, compliant, feasible, and fully understood before and during execution. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in the healthcare payer domain, thrives in complex implementation environments, and operates with a consultative, product-owner mindset.
This individual will be the sole BA on the project, supporting Project Managers and senior leadership visibility, weekly executive meetings, and closely scrutinized deliverables.

Lead requirements discovery through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessionsSynthesize business needs into clear, detailed, and compliance-ready Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)Ensure requirements documentation can withstand regulatory, audit, and compliance reviewTranslate requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, maintaining traceability throughout the lifecycleContinuously validate requirements to ensure completeness, feasibility, and alignment with business objectivesAct as the primary bridge between engineering, product, project management, and client stakeholdersConfidently challenge assumptions on both the business and engineering sidesIdentify gaps, risks, dependencies, and unintended consequences early (think around corners)Offer alternative solutions, improvements, and best-practice recommendationsEnsure technical teams clearly understand business intent and constraintsPartner closely with Project Managers to ensure clarity of scope, requirements, and dependenciesProvide PMs with the documentation and insights needed to effectively lead project and executive meetingsSupport system configuration, integrations, data exchanges, and testing phases from a requirements perspectiveParticipate in workflow mapping, gap analysis, and solution validationMaintain strong follow-up discipline to ensure open items are resolved and documentedParticipate in weekly senior leadership meetings, confidently speaking to requirements, risks, and solution readinessPresent documentation, decisions, and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiencesRequired Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst2+ years within the healthcare domain (ideally healthcare payer-side implementations); strong understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirementsProven experience on large-scale, complex SaaS implementation projectsStrong background producing high-quality, compliant BRDsExperience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments, including epics and user storiesAbility to dig deeply into requirements, ask probing questions, and identify risks earlyComfort operating in high-visibility, executive-facing projectsPreferred Background
The ideal candidate is comfortable discussing how systems exchange data, understands integration patterns, and can translate technical constraints into business language without confusion.
