This position is located at Ireland Loadout in Moundsville, WV. We are seeking hard working, motivated individuals. If you are interested in pursuing a career with great potential, we want you!

This position is responsible for performing all duties required on the barges and dock when the facility is in operation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean / maintain the facility
  • Must be able to run dozer / front end loader / mobile equipment
  • Checking and pumping barges
  • Working with lines and wire rope in the movement of the barges
  • Learn duties of other positions at this facility such as loading barges
  • Must be compliant and willing to move to different tasks as needed
  • Perform Deckhand responsibilities / gauging barges / fleeting barges / maintaining fleet
  • Other general labor functions
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work safe, required

Experience

  • Minimum one (1) year experience in mechanical river operations
  • Must possess a TWIC card
  • Additional skills such as welding, machining, electrical certification, knowledge of industrial hydraulics, preferred

    • Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Must pass company’s written and practical testing
  • Reliable transportation
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Effective communication is required
  • Work Safely, required
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), required
  • Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
  • Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

    • JOB SCHEDULE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices)
  • Must be able to work 6 days a week and overtime as needed; (subject to the applicant’s religious practices)
  • Ability / willingness to work any shift assigned
  • Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead
  • Ability to push / pull as needed
  • Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overhead
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated areas, required
  • Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as needed; capability to move 100lbs as necessary
