Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using both standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Devise tailored treatment strategies that address both immediate needs and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work in synergy with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
• Provide educational support for patients and families to encourage progress outside the clinical setting.
• Partake in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with applicable state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Keep updated with industry advances through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting the position.
