Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid state certification or licensure in Special Education
  • Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a classroom setting
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Proficiency in collaborative teaching and adapting curriculum
  • mitment to ongoing professional development

Location : Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and modify instructional plans based on individual student needs and IEP goals
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, parents, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate documentation as required
  • Provide direct support to students, facilitating their engagement and learning
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of prehensive support strategies
  • Maintain a positive and organized classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
