Position Summary : The Department

of Humanities and Social Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology is

currently recruiting a part-time instructor to teach a new course centered on

the life and music of Bruce Springsteen. This course is intended to contribute

to curricular content that fulfills the General Education Requirements of

undergraduate students and spans the department's long-standing specializations

in music and literature. Consistent with NJIT's Strategic Plan 2030, the

integration of experiential educational opportunities into the course would be

an important advantage. The course could also contribute to a growing

departmental concentration in "New Jersey Studies."

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is a broadly interdisciplinary

community of researchers and educators that encourages current pedagogy

consistent with the aims of a technologically intensive university. Questions about

Bargaining Unit : AFT-UCAN

Salary Information :

In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the rate for this position is $2668 per contact hour. (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
