Inpatient Coding Supervisor

A company is looking for a Revenue Cycle Coding Supervisor - Inpatient Coding.

Key Responsibilities

Manage acute inpatient coding and abstracting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines

Analyze coding operations for process improvement and monitor compliance with regulations affecting coding and reimbursement

Provide leadership and support in the development and implementation of coding policies, training programs, and operational documentation

Required Qualifications

An associate degree in Health Information Management or equivalent education and experience

Registered Health Information Technologist or Administrator (RHIT / RHIA) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification

Current membership in the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)

Minimum of 2 years of inpatient coding experience in a complex healthcare organization

Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines and their application
