About The Position

ID : 74481166 Shift : Varied 0.9 DAY shift Weekends as needed - On Call As needed Start options are 1 / 5 / 26 and 1 / 19 / 26 Description : Floating between departments and or local locations within 20 miles is required.Job Summary : - for holding Peds or SAC status patients. -Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. -Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. -Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. -Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient / family and healthcare team. -Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. -Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. -Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. -Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. -Completes patient population / age-specific / procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards. Schedule DAY shift Weekends as needed - On Call As needed Start options are 1 / 5 / 26 and 1 / 19 / 26Skills : Required Skills & Experience : -Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience required. -Two (2) years current experience required in a 12-plus bed Pediatric Intensive Care unit required. -Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast paced environment. -Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. Preferred Skills & Experience : -Pediatric CVICU experience a plus. -Epic EMR experience preferred.Education : Required Education : One of the following is required : -Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN).-Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN). Preferred Education : -N / A Required Certifications & Licensure : -State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License. -BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required. -BLS and PALS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
