Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you will care for a wide range of complex patients including :
Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resectionsSpine surgeries, including cervical, thoracic, and lumbarPatients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke ProgramA high volume of patients undergoing spinal procedures and medical overflow casesAs part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , our unit is at the forefront of neurosurgical advancements, providing opportunities for professional growth.

Major Responsibilities :
Assess patient needs, create individualized care plans, and evaluate care effectivenessMonitor and respond to significant changes in patient conditions, adjusting care plans as neededImplement strategies to enhance patient safety and satisfactionCoordinate discharge planning collaboratively with the healthcare teamEngage in continuous evaluation of care outcomes to improve processes and resultsDemonstrate effective communication and collaboration with team membersManage patient safety and intervene when necessaryImplement ethical decision-making in patient careParticipate in professional development and departmental improvement initiativesLicensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practiceBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart AssociationEducation Required :
Completion of an accredited Nursing programExperience Required :
