Entry Level Coastal Engineer

Duties and responsibilities :

• Conduct coastal studies, flood risk management, coastal restoration, and shoreline stabilization projects, including coastal structure planning
• Have interest in planning and design of public spaces at the land-water interface, resort planning and recreational boating facilitites
• Complete data and engineering analyses and GIS mapping
• Perform field work as needed
• Prepare written reports and assist in preparation of construction plans and technical specifications
• Field data collection and navigation of difficult terrain may be required
• Implement scientific and regulatory tasks for projects in order to ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations and policies, including NEPA, Endangered Species Act, and Clean Water Act
• Assist with project types including :

Dredging and beach nourishment
