Logistics Manager Responsibilities
Oversee and direct work activities of the Logistics department while mentoring and coaching staffAccountable for managing department’s budget & providing financial reporting on any account variancesAssist sales staff with regional programs & show services planning. This includes overseeing the preparation of on-site show services packages for clients and show-site supervisorsInvestigate / assist AP in resolving freight invoices issues / assist in negotiating transportation contractsCrosstrain staff to ensure proper coverage in Show Services and Portable ProgramsCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws, to include :Conduct performance reviews with staff
Review daily time cards & approve accordinglyApprove vacation requestsWork with HR on employee relations mattersProvide daily mentoring and coaching with staffUtilize advanced Microsoft Office skills to maintain organization within department and positionRemain highly organized and flexible while working necessary times in fast-paced deadline driven environmentAdditional responsibilities as assigned.Requirements

Associates / Bachelors degree with relevant experience required.5 + years management experience & 3 + years transportation experience required.Knowledge of Billing and General Accounting principles.Previous trade show and / or event industry experience preferred.
