Responsibilities :

• Technical functions in support of engineering and manufacturing.
• Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to hardware design schematic capture and layout in Altium CBA troubleshooting verification testing modification fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment and supporting continuing products Regulatory & Safety Compliance.
• Applications may include analog digital graphical interface external peripheral integration using common communication protocols and other hardware system implementations.
• Will apply principles and theories of electronics electrical circuity engineering mathematics electronic and electrical testing and physics as applicable.
• Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work.
• Performs operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Assists in the design construction test and verification of production test equipment.
• Utilizes manufacturing test development or diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes digital volt meters signal generators logic analyzers and specialized test apparatus.
• Discusses layout and assembly procedures and problems with Engineers or management and draws sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units.
• Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
• Works from schematics diagrams written and verbal descriptions layouts or defined plans to perform testing checkout and troubleshoot functions.
• Sets up standard test apparatus or devises to conduct functional operational environmental and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models.
• Analyzes and interprets test data.
• Adjusts calibrates aligns and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance.
• May write technical reports and develops charts graphs and schematics to describe and illustrate systems operating characteristics malfunctions deviations from design specifications and functional limitations.
• Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
• Reads wiring diagrams schematic drawings or engineering instructions for assembling electronics units applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
• Performs preventative maintenance or calibration of equipment or systems.
• Adjusts or replaces defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronics components using hand tools or soldering iron.
• Identifies and resolves equipment malfunctions working with external and / or internal sources as necessary to procure replacement parts.
• May maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment.
• Provides user applications or engineering support or recommendations for new or existing equipment regarding installation upgrades or enhancements.
• Provides customer support and education working with users to identify needs determine sources of problems or to provide information on product use.
• Support continuing released products Regulatory & Safety Compliance Standards
