Travel NICU RN – Nights | Fort Wayne, IN | $2,160–$2,880 Weekly

Earn a strong NICU travel package as a Night Shift Level III NICU RN at a leading acute care hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana , caring for high-acuity neonates from stable feeder / growers to critical Level III patients. This role offers auto-offers for qualified clinicians, optional block scheduling, and no call requirements.​

Position details

  • Title : Travel RN – NICU (Level III)
  • Location : Fort Wayne, Indiana​
  • Shift : Nights, 1900–0730 (3x12s)
  • Duration : 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed hours : 72 or 96 hours bi-weekly (traveler option)
  • Approx. traveler pay (72 hrs / 2 weeks) : $2,160 weekly / $60.00 hourly
  • Approx. traveler pay (96 hrs / 2 weeks) : $2,880 weekly / $60.00 hourly

    • Requirements

  • Active Indiana RN license (or ability to obtain before start)
  • ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE required​
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience , including recent Level III NICU
  • Comfortable caring for a range of acuity : feeder / growers through critical Level III infants​
  • EMR : Cerner

    • Role & responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to neonates requiring Level III intensive care, including ventilated, post-op, and medically complex infants.​
  • Safely manage assignments ranging from 1 : 1 to 1 : 3 , adjusting to patient acuity and collaborating closely with neonatologists and the interdisciplinary NICU team.​
  • Administer medications, manage lines, monitors, and equipment, and support family-centered care and parent education in a high-tech NICU environment.​

    • Schedule, floating, and orientation

  • No call required; block scheduling is available as an option.​
  • Floating : May float as helping hands to other areas but will not take full independent assignments off the NICU.
  • Orientation : 2 x 12-hour shifts on unit-specific orientation.

    • Unit & additional details

  • 34-bed NICU with nurse-to-patient ratios from 1 : 1 to 1 : 3 , based on acuity.​
  • Scrubs : Navy blue .
  • Travelers must attach all required licenses and certifications , plus driver’s license and permanent home address (must match ID), and must live 50+ miles from the facility ; local candidates are not accepted.
