Salary : $20-22 / hr

Machine Operators needed for Plastics Manufacturer inShelton, CT!

Hours : Rotating 12 hour shift schedule, 7pm-7am

Pay : Starting at$20 / hour (up to $24 / hr based on experience!)

Key responsibilities of a Machine Operator :

  • Partners with leads, mechanics and other production employees to address production issues and implement solutions.
  • Loads and unloads material rolls from machines, verifies and sets machine settings per the sheet settings in a safe manner.
  • Performs general production activities to ensure efficient production of high-quality product.
  • Operates thermoforming, automation, and auxiliary equipment (i.e., case tapers, grinders, stackers).
  • Inspects finished or in-process products against company standards and specifications for irregularities or reject.
  • Manages proper and timely starts / stops / restarts for machine, removes scrap and rewind.

Skills and Qualifications of a Machine Operator :

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment or similar relevant experience.
  • Read micrometers and calipers, digital force gauge, protractors, pressure gauges, temperature thermocouples.
