Overview The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard is a premier behavioral health and addiction treatment facility in Philadelphia. We provide inpatient psychiatric care, outpatient mental health services, and substance use disorder programs. Our trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally responsive approach serves a diverse patient population.
We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist (or license-eligible with supervision provided) to join our interdisciplinary team. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Newly licensed psychologists and recent post-doctoral graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities - Provide individual, group, and family therapy
- Conduct psychological assessments including projective, intelligence, and neuropsychological screenings
- Lead therapeutic groups on trauma, anger management, recovery, relapse prevention, and social skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on treatment planning and discharge coordination
- Supervise and mentor psychology interns and practicum students
- Document all clinical services accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Participate in treatment team meetings and program development initiatives
Qualifications - Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in Psychology from an accredited program
- Licensed Psychologist in Pennsylvania or license-eligible (supervision provided)
- APA-accredited internship preferred but not required
- Clinical experience in mental health, behavioral health, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders preferred
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and psychotherapy skills
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and treatment planning best practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills - Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Familiarity with Philadelphia's behavioral health network and community resources
- Prior experience in inpatient psychiatric care, addiction treatment, or dual diagnosis programs
