OVERVIEW :

This is a unique opportunity to work with a premier financial services organization known for nearly five decades of uninterrupted growth and no history of downsizing. You will be working with the engineering group responsible for building and maintaining backend systems, internal tools, and client-facing applications that support the core operations of our financial services platform. From managing client cash and brokerage operations to handling securities lending, IPO processing, and regulatory reporting, our team ensures high-performance, secure solutions across the full trade lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Design and develop scalable backend services and algorithms using Java and related technologies
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code focused on reliability and performance
  • Conduct unit and integration testing, debugging, and issue resolution to deliver high-quality software
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and QA engineers
  • Review peer code for quality assurance and contribute constructive feedback
  • Enhance and refactor existing applications to improve performance and resolve security vulnerabilities
  • Document technical designs and development workflows for internal use
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices
  • Support users, troubleshoot issues, and provide training as needed
  • Contribute to project planning and estimates while ensuring timely delivery

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Java or similar object-oriented languages
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented principles and n-tier architecture
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle preferred)
  • Hands-on knowledge of Java / JEE or C++, RESTful APIs, microservices, and message-oriented systems
  • Familiarity with JBoss or similar application server environments
  • Interest in learning financial instruments and industry concepts
  • Prior exposure to financial systems is a plus, though not required
