We have a wonderful opportunity for a Stage Builder position in Newport News, VA with one of our Clients in the Ship Repair Industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Erect, modify, inspect, and dismantle all types of staging and scaffolding systems in accordance with shipyard safety regulations and engineering requirements
Ensure staging structures are secure, stable, and suitable for use by other trades and personnel
Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to existing staging as project needs evolve
Work effectively at elevated heights, over water, and in tight or confined spaces such as tanks, compartments, and hull sections
Follow all safety procedures, including fall protection, confined space protocols, and hazard recognition
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete assignments efficiently and on schedule
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
Must be able to lift and carry over 40 pounds HOURS :
1st Shift-7am-3 : 30pm
2nd Shift-3 : 30pm-12 : 00Am
3rd Shift- 10 : 00pm-6 : 00am
Must be open to all shifts
PAY :
22-$27.31 / Hour based on experience; Per Diem is offered for Non-local
