Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the design and development of injection molded and machined mechanical components and assemblies for pipettes and other precision liquid handling instruments
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with electrical and firmware engineers to develop electromechanical systems .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality to ensure product designs meet functional and quality standards.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
- Help maintain documentation including CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and manufacturability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to mechanical engineering and laboratory instruments.
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.1-5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development (internships and co-ops may be considered).Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, etc.). Autodesk Inventor preferredBasic knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Working knowledge of motors and / or electronic actuatorsUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and materials.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.Preferred Experience :
Knowledge and / or experience designing injection molded partsExperience designing electro-mechanical systems (including housing for PCBAs, sensors, wiring, etc.)Experience with 3D printing prototyping techniquesBasic programming skills in C, Python, Labview , or C++Experience with precision instruments or laboratory equipment.Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis)Our Offer to You
