• The City of Lincoln City Police Department is currently accepting applications for Lateral Police Officers. Lateral recruits must provide proof of current certification. Lateral Officer Application Process : Police Officer Lateral TransfersMust meet all entry-level requirements and must have successfully completed the Oregon DPSST Academy, or another states equivalent of the Oregon DPSST Academy as well as having been full-time employed as a law enforcement officer within the last five years. If previous law enforcement employment was with a federal agency, equivalent of Oregon DPSST law enforcement training may be accepted if full-time employment as a law enforcement officer / agent occurred with the last five years. Lateral transfers must provide proof of Oregon DPSST Academy attendance and full-time employment within the last five years, or another states equivalent of the Oregon DPSST Academy as well as proof of full-time employment as an out of state law enforcement officer within the five years.
