Security Officer - Retail Center Patrol - Part Time

As a Security Officer in Middletown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and deliver exceptional customer service while supporting a secure environment. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $18.72 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Wed 04 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Thur 04 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a positive environment at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and / or high-traffic areas to assist with the flow of people and help to deter unauthorized access or activity.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual behavior, to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and / or client contacts.
  • Collaborate with location management and local authorities as needed to address incidents and support security-related operations.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
