Data Analyst

Overview

As a Data and Reporting Analyst, you will join our team on a journey to help eliminate barriers for patients, increase their access to medications, and help them receive lifesaving treatments, while working in an environment that nurtures you.

The Reporting & Analytics team provides ongoing support and insight to external clients, as well as to the internal operational leadership team. As a member of this team, the Data & Reporting Analyst will provide leadership for the capture of data, the translation of it into information / reports, and the transmission of this knowledge into actionable decisions which further the goals of our clients.

The Data & Reporting Analyst must be an excellent communicator (oral and written) and be able to foster effective collaboration and discussions with clients and internal Mercalis teams. The Analyst must be able to review and analyze data, present conclusions in a logical and clear manner, and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Advanced custom reporting

o Manage requirements gathering, specifications development, design and build of custom production-level reports for program ops, management, & client use.

o Make & own deliverable commitments (substance, format, and dev time), and provide timely communications re : status & / or delivery challenges. When conflicts arise, negotiate agreement on a path forward.

o Communicate clearly on requested deliverables, provide timelines and recommendations based on best practices, and prioritize work by accounts as necessary.

o Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures governing access to and distribution of PII and other confidential data

o Maintain up-to-date familiarity with Mercalis’ data sources / source systems

o Serve as Subject Matter Expert to provide recommendations and expertise for data & reporting capabilities to assigned programs and / or clients.

o Investigate data anomalies (identified through own or users’ activities), communicate detailed findings to the appropriate person or group, and act as a valued partner in solution finding.

o Work with programming environments, MS Excel, MicroStrategy, SQL, free-form SQL, Mercalis’ CRM platforms, and other applicable software or BI tools.

o Identify opportunities to develop & implement solutions that streamline operations of frequent tasks.

o Identify, define, and coordinate with other departments to connect our data and reporting in new and innovative ways to improve Mercalis’ suite of products and services.

o Provide leadership and training to other team members on fundamental data mining and report creation techniques and applications.

o Assist program staff in the understanding & use of self-service reporting tools, and the use and interpretation of Mercalis data.
