About The Role:
As a Director of Business Development, you’ll represent the branch out in the community and help grow our presence through relationships, events, and strategic outreach. You’ll lead public relations efforts by building meaningful partnerships, educating Veterans on their VA home loan benefits, and working closely with internal teams to strengthen our brand. This role blends relationship-building, communication, and leadership, all while ensuring compliance with state, federal, industry, and company guidelines.
Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:
Building and maintaining partnerships with external agencies, organizations, and departments to support community programs and events.
Identifying key client groups and audiences, then developing and executing communication plans that reach them effectively.
Collaborating with the Branch Marketing team to strengthen and maintain the company’s brand, including consistent use of logos, signage, and messaging.
Establishing strong working relationships with clients, government officials, and media partners to support business growth.
Educating Veterans and community partners about the VA home loan benefit through lunch and learns, seminars, and local events.
Representing the branch at realtor functions, third-party events, and networking opportunities.
Pitching in wherever needed to help strengthen the team, culture, and overall success of the branch.
About You:
You have strong written and verbal communication skills and feel confident engaging with a wide range of audiences.
You know how to motivate and encourage a high-performing, diverse team.
You handle communication and conflict with professionalism and care.
You thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
Delivering excellent customer service comes naturally to you.
You can break down technical or complex information into clear, approachable language.
You bring 2 to 3 years of experience in customer service, sales, public relations, or a related field.
You show up consistently and can be counted on to get the job done.
You are NMLS licensed or willing to become licensed upon employment.
