Position Description

Functions under general supervision (similar to Senior Programmer).

In development of applications software, responsible for :

Analyzing and refining systems requirements.

Translating systems requirements into applications prototypes.

Planning and designing systems architecture.

Writing, debugging, and maintaining code.

Determining and designing applications architecture.

Determining output media / formats.

Designing user interfaces.

Working with customers to test applications.

Assuring software and systems quality and functionality.

Integrating hardware and software components.

Writing and maintaining program documentation.

Evaluating new applications software technologies.

Ensuring the rigorous application of information security / information assurance policies, principles, and practices in software delivery.

In development of operating systems, responsible for :

Analyzing systems requirements in response to business requirements, risks, and costs.

Evaluating, selecting, verifying, and validating the systems software environment.

Evaluating, selecting, and installing compilers, assemblers, and utilities.

Integrating hardware and software components within the systems environment.

Monitoring and fine-tuning performance of the systems environment.

Evaluating new systems engineering technologies and their effect on the operating environment.

Ensuring that information security / information assurance policies, principles, and practices are an integral element of the operating environment.

Skills Required

Knowledge and experience in applications software development principles and methods sufficient to participate in design, development, testing, and implementation of new or modified applications software.

Operating systems installation and configuration procedures.

Understanding of organization’s operational environment.

Knowledge of software design principles, methods, and approaches.

Principles, methods, and procedures for designing, developing, optimizing, and integrating new and / or reusable systems components.

Knowledge of pertinent government regulations.

Understanding of infrastructure requirements, such as bandwidth and server sizing.

Database management principles and methodologies, including data structures, data modeling, data warehousing, and transaction processing.

Knowledge of functionality and operability of the current operating environment.

Systems engineering concepts and factors such as structured design, supportability, survivability, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Optimization concepts and methods.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Ability to speak and write effectively and prepare effective reports.

Skills Preferred

Proficient in Power Apps, Power Pages, and Portals development for Dynamics 365 Customer Service.

Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Proficient in Liquid Template Language.

Proficient in Mockup development using JustInMind prototyping software.

Proficient in Website Design.

Proficient in D365 Model-driven app development.

Proficient in Power Automate for Workflow Automation.

Experience Required

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.

At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.

Experience Preferred

4 years of specialized custom development focused on Power Pages development within the Dynamics 365 Customer Service module.

4 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining responsive web applications with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.

4 years of proficiency using Liquid for customizing web pages and integrating dynamic content.

4 years of experience developing interactive mockups and prototypes using JustInMind for UI / UX visualization.

4 years of experience creating and integrating design assets for web applications ensuring aesthetic appeal and consistency.

4 years of experience building custom applications using model-driven applications in Dynamics 365.

4 years of experience automating business processes and creating workflows in Dynamics 365 Customer Service.

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.

Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
