[job_card.job_description]Minimum of 2 years experience with tax preparation, working with a variety of small business industries. Has experience with QuickBooks Online, Adobe, ShareFile, and Google suite and ability to learn new software (required). Able to occasionally communicate with disgruntled clients and direct them to the proper tax member who can solve their problem. Works well with tax preparers to understand what pieces of information need to be gathered from the customer and communicating with the customer to do so. Is diligent to maintain customer profiles including taking meeting notes, documenting communication, creating profiles for new customers in Uplinq Airtable software, preparing tax engagement letters. Able to assist in gathering data from the Accounting team including find prior year returns given to Uplinq Bookkeeping and upload to the Tax filing system, downloading financial reports provided by Uplinq Bookkeeping and upload to tax's filing system.

About the Role
The Tax Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for client onboarding, collecting necessary documents, client follow up, internal workflow and reviewing prior year tax returns for data needs. This position requires knowledge of tax laws and regulations, excellent communication skills, strong Excel skills, and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. What You'll Do
- Problem-solving skills, capable of handling complex workflows and projects efficiently.
- Engages effectively with high-value clients to optimize their account setups and enhance their overall experience with Uplinq's services.
- Is skilled in onboarding companies to a ready state for tax preparation, ensuring a seamless handoff to Tax Operations team.
- Communicate and clearly convey and explain intricate tax and accounting data to clients as needed.
- Will review financial statements and tax filings to determine data needs.
- Drive continuous improvement in Uplinq's automated bookkeeping and tax systems and contribute to our business intelligence solutions.
- Carries out administrative duties such as gathering documents, scanning, filing, mailing, etc.
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.
- Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
- Provides information by answering questions and requests.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
