Research Technician

Our lab (Michael Lynch, Biodesign Center for Mechanisms of Evolution) is looking for a short term (through May / Summer 2024) Paramecium Lab Technician to replace our departing Technician. This position would be responsible for maintaining Paramecium strains (feeding, making culture fluid) deemed important to the lab for research purposes and working on a Paramecium motility assay, with some cell staining included. Some whole genome sequencing preparation of Paramecium strains collected from lake sources will also need to be required, though most of that should be completed by the end of the year.
