Position Overview

The Restaurant Manager at Ama At The Atlas is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage for the ground floor restaurant, in-room dining, and lobby services. This role ensures high-quality products and service while maintaining profitable F&B operations. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for building a strong team, maintaining operational excellence, and representing the restaurant as a leader in the community.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Ama.
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, gracious, and professional service.
  • Perform all aspects of the position with efficiency, respect, professionalism, patience, and initiative.
  • Understand and carry out the philosophy of the owners and the Culinary Director, maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
  • Represent Ama professionally through effective communication and collaboration with staff, vendors, and community partners.
  • Create and maintain a culture of respect and equity in the kitchen, fostering opportunities for staff to learn, grow, and develop.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure Ama’s reputation for excellence and consistency in both food and hospitality.
  • Offer positive, solutions-oriented input in decision-making processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Restaurant Operations & Leadership :

  • Oversee daily operations of the ground floor restaurant, in-room dining, and lobby services.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and team performance reviews.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, service, and administrative teams.
  • Build and maintain a strong, positive team culture, fostering development and retention.
  • Represent Ama to guests, industry partners, and the community, ensuring the restaurant’s brand and standards are upheld.
  • Beverage Program Leadership :

  • Curate and maintain the wine list and cocktail menu to align with Ama’s vision and brand.
  • Train and supervise beverage staff to ensure high-quality service and product knowledge.
  • Monitor beverage inventory, ordering, and cost control.
  • Financial & Compliance Oversight :

  • Manage profitable F&B operations, monitoring costs, revenue, and staffing needs.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
  • Guest Experience & Quality Assurance :

  • Deliver exceptional, personalized service to every guest, with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Maintain high standards of food, beverage, and service quality.
  • Respond to guest feedback and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure SOPs are followed in all operational areas and participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Team Development & Training :

  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff to meet service and operational standards.
  • Conduct ongoing training in service, hospitality, and beverage knowledge.
  • Recognize and celebrate team milestones and achievements.
  • Qualification Standards

    Education & Experience :

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in food & beverage operations, hospitality, or a related field; or a 4-year college degree with at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree with 3 or more years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing applications.
  • Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department regulations, liquor laws, and beverage program management.
  • Physical Requirements :

    Long hours may be required.

  • Medium work : lifting or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally, and / or 20 pounds frequently.
  • General Requirements :

  • Communicate effectively with employees, guests, and leadership in a friendly, attentive, and professional manner.
  • Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Attend required meetings and training.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Approach challenges proactively and implement solutions efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

    We list the top of our salary range for new roles to ensure fairness, consistency, and alignment with our values—independent of an individual’s ability to negotiate.

    Your total compensation package includes :

    Base Salary : $65,000.00 annually

  • Eligibility to participate in Ama’s 401(k) Retirement Plan.
  • Employee contributions are permitted, with potential employer matching in accordance with company policy.
  • Paid Time Off

  • Two (2) weeks of paid vacation per year.
  • One (1) week (40 hours) of paid sick time per year.
