Certified Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Set up and operatevarious types of respiratory care equipment for resident diagnosis andtreatment
• Performs patientassessment and develops a comprehensive care plan
• Modifies therapy planto maximize the efficacy of the therapyregimen
• Review data in theresident record including history, lab data, radiological studies, progressnotes, respiratory and cardiovascular monitoring data
• Document / recordrespiratory therapy data
• Administer and modifyvarious respiratory therapy procedures
• Assess resident'soverall status and progress
• Educate residentsand / or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment
• Assist in respiratorytherapy practices under the supervision and guidance of an RRT
• Perform any servicesand assignments within the scope of practice of a CRT
