Overview: Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees and manages the day-to-day tasks assigned to the maintenance team at SNIPES Philadelphia Distribution Center.
Responsibilities - Assign daily responsibilities and tasks to the maintenance team including routine maintenance for: Facilities: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
- Automation equipment: conveyor maintenance, Preventative Maintenance (PMs), repair, replacement, etc.
- Conduct regular inspections of the distribution center including truck yard, exterior, and interior, etc. to identify potential issues and report to the maintenance manager
- Maintain training documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Provide feedback on associates performance and provide coaching as needed.
- Monitor and manage employee time, attendance, and payroll
- Assist development of Excel spreadsheet trackers and other documents
- Track labor time spent executing tasks and idle time
- Monitor radio, email, and other communication methods for maintenance requests (first point of contact)
- Provide status and information reports as required
- Track equipment and machinery downtime, repairs, etc.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures
- Maintain a safe, clean and neat working environment ensuring adherence to all safety and compliance protocols
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred, but not required
- 2+ years of Maintenance experience as a Supervisor working in a Distribution Center
- Excel experience is required: formatting, use of formulas, conditional formatting, and pivot tables.
- Experience supervising a team of up to 10 associates
- Facilities and/or Conveyor Maintenance knowledge are required
- Strong mechanical, electrical, or controls aptitude required
- Experience managing vendors a plus
- Must have a satisfactory knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in general maintenance work
- Pallet rider and forklift certification is preferred but not required, will train if necessary
- Willingness to learn, self-motivation, strong problem-solving skills, and solid interpersonal communications skills are required.
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize work that is assigned by the manager
Working Conditions: - This role is based in the distribution center
- This position is onsite, Monday-Friday.
