Automation Engineer Mason MI

Salary Range : $81000 - $126000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Mason seeking Automation Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design develop and implement industrial automation systems (e.g. PLCs SCADA HMI robotics).
  • Program and configure control systems including PLCs servo drives and vision systems.
  • Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve issues with automated production lines and machinery.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes through the application of automation robotics and advanced control strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements and integrate solutions.
  • Ensure all automated systems comply with safety standards quality protocols and operational specifications.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation systems including schematics and operational procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g. Rockwell Siemens) HMI / SCADA development and industrial control systems.
  • Experience with industrial robotics servo / motion control and automated material handling systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g. EtherNet / IP Profinet) and data acquisition methods.
  • Proven ability in system integration troubleshooting and debugging complex automation machinery.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes lean principles and industrial safety standards (e.g. OSHA ANSI ISO).

    • Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced robotics applications (e.g. collaborative robots vision-guided robotics).
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or SCADA development and integration.
  • Proficiency in industrial networking protocols and IT / OT convergence concepts.
  • Experience with industrial vision systems for quality control or guidance.
