Specimen Processing / Specimen Technician (SPT I) NOW!

DPS is now hiring a  Specimen Processing / Specimen Technician (SPT I)  for a Facility in Baltimore, MD. Dean's Professional Services has partnered with healthcare facilities, government organizations, and corporations to provide job opportunities.

Specimen Processing / Specimen Technician (SPT I)  Job Details :

Schedule : Monday- Friday 8 : 00pm to 4 : 30am

Location : Baltimore, MD.

Temporary to hire

Starting Pay Rate : $17.20 / hour + (based on experience)

Specimen Processing / Specimen Technician (SPT I) Responsibilities :

  • Perform specimen presort, A-station tasks, centrifugation, aliquoting, and internal specimen transport
  • Ensure compliance with lab standards and changing test regulations
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards in a production-based environment
  • Practice safe handling in a biohazard setting
  • Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of staff
  • Keep work areas organized and maintain departmental timelines
  • Demonstrate adaptability and strong interpersonal skills

Education Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent, required.

Job Requirements :

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a biohazard environment
  • Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
  • Previous experience in a production environment preferred.
