How a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician II will make an impact

Performs installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems.

Will verify services by testing circuits / equipment / alarms & identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.

Leverage LMR shop operations & management experience from a large-scale LMR shop.

Will respond to emergency calls in the event of a system failure.

Will install, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, & repair telecommunication equipment, to include running / pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays.

Apply hands‑on experience in maintenance / troubleshooting of Motorola & other LMR Equipment

What you’ll need to succeed

Education : High School Diploma / GED

Required Experience : 1+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills : Must be qualified to install LMR base stations, repeaters and mobile radios.

Security Clearance Level : SECRET

Required Skills and Abilities :

Communications consoles

Repeaters

XTS‑5000 and other hand‑held radios

Trunked and non‑trunked LMR systems

Key loaders, antennas, multi‑couplers, duplexers

Test equipment (service monitors / system analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency counters, power meters, spectrum analyzer)

Digital recording equipment

OTAR keying equipment (Key management facility)

Site controllers

Location : On Customer Site
