Check Point Engineer

We are seeking a Check Point Engineer for a 6-month remote contract to support a large enterprise undergoing rapid growth and transformation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in firewall administration and has a strong background in policy management and cleanup.

You'll play a key role in optimizing firewall rule sets, streamlining security policies, and helping the team shift from reactive support to proactive project work.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Check Point firewalls in a dynamic enterprise environment.
• Review incoming requests (e.g., new servers, platforms) and determine necessary firewall rule changes.
• Open and manage change records, coordinate team reviews, and implement / test changes.
• Perform policy cleanup to eliminate outdated, redundant, or overly permissive rules.
• Help reduce the backlog of firewall requests to free up the team for strategic initiatives.

This is a Contract position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00 / hr.
