Position Summary
Complete procedure and documentation of diagnostic images based on provider order for the Radiologist’s interpretation. Responsible for the care and comfort of patients during any diagnostic echocardiogram while incorporating the five (5) Simply Better steps with every patient and team member interaction.
·Must have the ability, skill-set, qualifications, education, and licensure that are required for all the responsibilities this position must cover.

·Implement orders and treatment plan components as directed by Provider(s).
·Prepare patients for radiological procedures following established process for patient care and safety.
·Perform echocardiogram examination(s) and demonstrate technical knowledge of cross-sectional human anatomy, physiology, pathology, physical principals and instrumentation.

Qualifications
Qualifications/Work Experience:
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- RDCS (PE) certification through ARDMS or equivalent credential (e.g., RCS via CCI).
- Certification of Completion for Echocardiographic Basic Course.
- AA or BS in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent experience preferred.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric cardiac anatomy and congenital heart disease.
- Proficiency in using echocardiography equipment and related software.
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required.
